Integer decrementer tool What is a integer decrementer?
With this browser-based tool, you can decrease multiple integers by a certain amount. The integers can be mixed with the text or can be entered separately as a horizontal list or each on its own row. The app parses the input data and extracts all integers from it. Then it subtracts the subtrahend from each integer and puts it back in the text. Finally, it prints the updated data with decremented integers in the output area. The subtracted value can be both positive and negative. If it's a positive step, then all integers decrease by this value; if it's negative, then all integers increase by the absolute value of the step. Integerabulous!

Decrease Integers by Five
In this example, we paste many integers in the input area and put each integer on its line. We set the decrement amount to 5 and as a result, the value 5 gets subtracted from each integer. The integer 0 turns into -5, integer 5 turns into 0, integer 10 turns into 5, and so on. The input structure is saved and each output integer is also on its own line.

Negative Decrement Amount
In this example, we subtract a negative decrement amount of -1 from ten integers. We get the following: 0 - (-1) = 1, 4 - (-1) = 5, -8 - (-1) = -7, …. As you can see, if the amount to be subtracted is negative, the integers actually increase by the absolute value of this amount.

Decrement the Temperature
In this example, we enter temperature measurements throughout the day in the input field and specify the decrease amount of 3 in the options. Thus, the program extracts each integer temperature value, subtracts 3 degrees Fahrenheit, and puts the new value back in old value's place.
